Durante uma entrevista Selena Gomez afirmou que os dois continuarão sendo amigos:
“Tenho muito orgulho de que tenhamos uma amizade realmente verdadeira. Nunca experimentei nada como isto na minha vida toda. Terminámos como melhores amigos e foi algo corajoso e carinhoso de forma mútua. Foi muito marcante para mim.”
